Bonnie R. Scott and Stanley A. Grys, Jr., were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon, June 5, ceremonies in Wisconsin Rapids’ Moravian Church. The Rev. Gary Straugham officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Scott, Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Grys, Sr., are parents of the couple.

At the service, John Gunn, Gary Nilsen and Jeane Grys offered music.

Serving as matron of honor was Sheryl Marsich, a cousin of the bride from Billings, Montana. Bridesmaids were Bonnie Krultz of Greenwood, Gloria Stoflet of Wisconsin Rapids and Becky Buchholz of Neillsville.

Andy Shaurette of Wisconsin Rapids was bestman. He was joined by Allen Grys, Buffy Lee Buchanan and Chuck Gennaro as groomsmen; all are from Wisconsin Rapids. Ushering were Bill Scott, brother of the bride, and Tim Grys, brother of the groom.

The bride chose a chiffon and lace, entrained gown with a veiled hat. She carried a bouquet of blue and white silk roses and daisies. The bridesmaids wore light blue, lace gowns with deep blue, velvet-trimmed capes and each carried blue and white silk roses and daisies.

A reception at the Wildcat Inn in Neillsville followed the service. A dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride, a 1981 graduate of Neillsville High School, is studying marketing at Mid-State Technical Institute-Wisconsin Rapids. Her husband, a 1980 graduate of Wisconsin Rapids’ Lincoln High, is owner of Waves Production and Associates, Wisconsin Rapids. The couple will make their home in Wisconsin Rapids.
