Young, William (27 January 1900 – 21 June 1982)
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 23, for William Young, 82, of
Granton, who passed away in Neillsville Memorial Home on Monday, June 21. The
Rev. Maynard Stokka of Zion American Lutheran Church was to officiate at the
Gilbertson Funeral Home service. Burial was to be made in the Windfall Cemetery.
The deceased was born on January 27, 1900, in Rice Lake. On April 12, 1928, he
married Marie Schumacher in Fairchild ceremonies; the couple then moved to
Granton.
Surviving him are two sons, Donald of Madison, Indiana, and James of Granton;
eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his
wife on December 3, 1980; and two daughters.
