Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clem Ogurek of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Draxler of Auburndale.

The bride appeared on the arm of her father wearing a gown of ivory satin originally worn by her mother. The neckline was draped and trimmed with beads and lace. The skirt featured a cathedral length trin. A lace trimmed Juliet cap and veil of illusion completed her ensemble. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, carnations and stephanotis.

Diane Newburn, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Carol Bula, Antigo, Doreen and Karen Draxler, sister of the groom, Auburndale.

The bridesmaids were attired in princess style gowns made of orange satin complimented with ivory lace. They each carried one orange tinted long stemmed rose.

Groomsmen included Bob Geshke, best man, Footville, Wisconsin, Francis Draxler, brother of the groom, and Jim Ogurek, brother of the bride.

Jill Moscinski and David Draxler were miniature bridesmaid and ring bearer, respectively.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Judy Stroinski, organist, of Marshfield, and a solo by Nile Newburn, brother-in-law of the bride.

Foer her daughter’s wedding the bride’s mother chose a floor length dress of min green. The groom’s mother wore a floor length dress of apricot and blue. They each wore a white orchid.

Dinner was served to 200 guests at the church hall, and a reception and dance followed at the Sword.

Guests included family and friends from Footville, Chicago, Sioux City, Iowa, Madison, New London, Wisconsin Rapids, Thorp, Marshfield, Auburndale and Wausau.

The bride is employed at the Wausau City Hall and the groom is estimator and designer for S. D. Ellenbecker, Contractor, Athens. After their honeymoon trip south, the couple will reside in Wausau.
