William Kadonsky, Route 1, Abbotsford, is among students who are scheduled to graduate this year with the Honors Degree from the College of Letters and Science of the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The Honors program was originally established to encourage and recognize work of greater depth, scope and originality by students.

To earn this degree a student must, in addition to completing the general requirements, have been an honors candidate in both his junior and senior years, have successfully completed at least 40 credits in Honors courses of study, have successfully completed the Honors curriculum and an Honors thesis in his major, and have maintained a general grade point aver of at least 3.0.

The Honors Degree students will be among the more than 1,000 graduating students who will be honored for their outstanding work in their studies at the annual spring Honors Convocation May 16, and the 122nd annual spring commencement May 17 on the UW-Madison campus.

Kadonsky will receive an Honors Degree in history.
