Wendy L. Awe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Awe, Colby, has been selected as a Dow Jones Newspaper Intern for the upcoming summer.

The 1972 co-valedictorian of Colby High School is one of 12 top journalism students from the Midwest and the East who will attend a three-week copy-editing seminar at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May 12 – 30.

Miss Awe is a junior at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, where she is a reporter on the campus newspaper.

Following the three week seminar, Miss Awe will work the remainder of the summer as an intern on the cops desk of the Cape Cod Standard Times in Hyannis, Mass.
