Roberts, Becky A. (5 June 1982)

The Neillsville United Church of Christ was the site for the late Saturday afternoon, June 5, sharing of vows between Becky A. Roberts and Brian J. McKevitt. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated at the ceremonies.

Parents of the couple are Glenn and Metty Roberts, 410 West First St., Neillsville, and Ramona McKevitt, 510 East Sixth St., Neillsville and Lawrence McKevitt, Lake Worth, Florida.

Crystal Davidson, a friend from Larned, Kansas, was the maid of honor. Joining her was Tammy Pulju, a friend from Madison; Mary Ann Olson, a friend from Mondovi; and LeeAnn Krall, a friend from West Salem. Junior bridesmaids were Shawn and Shannon Holmgreen, cousins of the bride from West Allis.

Jeff Kessler, a friend of the groom from St. Paul, Minnesota, served as best man. He was joined by Randy McKevitt, the groom’s brother of Fort Devens, Massachusetts; Jeff Vine, a friend from Kenosha; and Bill Roberts, the bride’s brother of Neillsville. Ushering were Craig McKevitt, the groom’s brother of Eau Claire; Brad Roberts, the bride’s brother of Neillsville; Mark Schultz, the bride’s brother-in-law, Neillsville, and Bruce Rakestraw, a friend also from Neillsville.

Special music at the service was offered by Crystal Davidson and Phil Golembiewski.

The bride chose a chiffon gown with camisole lace bodice, full-length train and finger-tip length veil capped with lace trim. She carried white orchids and lilies-of-the-valley. Her attendants wore dusty rose-hued gowns of organza with lace bodices and sleeves. They carried sprays of pink roses with lilies-of-the-valley. The groom wore an all-white tuxedo while his attendants were attired in silver-gray tuxedos.

A reception was held at Fannie’s Supper Club. The couple announced wedding trip plans which were to include Greater America and the surrounding area.

The bride holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from UW-Eau Claire and is employed by the Neillsville Public Schools. The groom completed a one-year telecommunications course at Indianhead Technical Institute and is now head lineman for Badger Telephone Company of Neillsville. The new Mr. and Mrs. McKevitt will make their home at 503 East Sixth Street, Neillsville.
