Nichols, Arveda Ruth (3 October 1905 – 6 June 1982)

With burial slated for a later time at Neillsville City Cemetery, (to be buried beside her husband, Rev. Oscar Nichols) funeral services were held on Tuesday morning, June 8, in Weyauwega for Arveda Ruth Nichols, 76. Mrs. Nichols passed away June 6 in the Weyauwega Health Care Center, Waupaca Co.

The deceased was born on October 3, 1905, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, to George and Sarah (Adams) Miller. On June 21, 1938, she married Rev. Oscar Nichols in Dayton, Pennsylvania ceremonies. Mrs. Nichols taught school and was a housewife.

She is survived by two sons, Barry of Weyauwega and Paul of Gaithersburg, Maryland; a sister, Mae Gahagan, Smicksburg, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967.

The Rev. Roger Gustafson officiated at the funeral service with Holly Funeral Home of Weyauwega in charge of arrangements.
