Hanne, Charles (8 Feb 1888 – 27 Nov 1974)

Services were held for Charles Hanne, 86, Colby, on Saturday, November 30, 1974 at 1:30 p.m. at United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Kenneth Dix officiating. He was buried in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hanne passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 1974 at 10:10 p.m. at the Colonial Nursing Home, Colby.

Born on February 8, 1888 at Elgin, Iowa, Mr. Hanne married Emma Pacholke on July 16, 1913 at Colby. They moved to the Town of Hull from Iowa and lived there all their lives. He was a member of United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, five children, Mrs. Woodrow (Audray) Schmutzler, Riplinger, Eldred Hanne, Abbotsford, Harold Hanne, Elroy Hanne and Vernon Hanne, all of Colby.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hanne is preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were Dean Witte, John Witte, James Witte, Woodrow Schmutzler Jr., Allen Schmutzler and Arlyn Hanne.
