NHS Quiz Bowl (2nd Place - 1982)
Members of the Neillsville High School High Quiz Bowl team ended their season
nearly on top of the scholarly pile, finishing second in a 34 school competition
offered by WSAW television of Wausau.
The team taped their final appearance on Thursday, May 6. In a contest shown on
Saturday, May 8, the Neillsville High School squad of thinkers defeated
Hortonville in a sudden-death overtime.
In a second show, viewed on Saturday, May 15, the Neillsville team was narrowly
beaten by a team from Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln. This placed Neillsville second
in 34 schools.
Team members are Brendan Jenks, Todd Spangler, Todd Meyer, Geoff Turner and Rick
Mayer.
