Reese, Phillis Marie (29 September 1947 – 24 October 2022)

Phillis Marie Reese age 75, formerly of Marshfield and Abbotsford, passed away peacefully early Monday, October 24, 2022, in Wausau. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Phillis was born on September 29, 1947,to John and Grace (Maluge) Nelson of Abbotsford. She is preceded in death by her loving parents.

One of her favorite pastimes was music, she sang with Bobby Vinton (Roses Are Red) and her sister Darla. She also sang solos at Marshfield Women’s Christian Club. Phillis was a member of Sweet Adelines (Heart O’ Wisconsin, Marshfield); as well as an active member of the Marshfield Area Eagle’s Club 624. Phillis loved to play the organ.

Phillis worked as a waitress for several restaurants including Country Kitchen, The Patio, Colby Café, and Jimmies Café. Phillis later went on to work Home Care for the Elderly.

She is survived by her four children: Brian Gerald Reese of Iowa, Kimberley Kaye Najact (Eric) of Sheboygan, Kevin Scott Reese of Taylor County and Alvin Fitzgerald Reese III of Sheboygan; brothers: Phillip (Stephie) Nelson and “JC” Nelson (Debbie); three sisters: Karleen Werner (Proceeded by Ray) of Arpin, Darla Bunkleman of Colby, and Chloe Nelson of Neillsville. Phillis is further survived by many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
