Ribbon Cut On New Apartments (Former Hospital - 2022)

Neillsville residents and members of the surrounding community joined together Oct. 17 to celebrate a ribbon cutting and grand opening for Neillsville’s Sunset Place Apartments, owned by Lisenby Properties. Approximately 33 units have been finished in the former hospital building, with many of them already occupied. About 100 units are expected in total when the project is complete. Discussion began on the project back in 2019, with it partially funded through a tax incremental financing (TIF) district. “We’re so grateful for our fantastic partners. It truly took a village,” said Lynda Lisenby. Shown are (front, l-r) city councilmember Barb Petkovsek, former Neillsville Mayor Diane Murphy, property owners Lynda and Mark Lisenby, Mayor Dewey Poeschel, Jennifer Kujawa of the Neillsville Are Chamber of Commerce, (back) councilmember Julie Counsell, councilmember Joe Neville, Greg Glisczinski of Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Ken Gerhardt of the Clark County Board of Supervisors. For more photos from the grand opening event, see next week’s Press.
