After a honeymoon trip to the Western States, Dr. and Mrs. Perry Arndt will be making their home at Rt. 4, Medford. The couple was married at a 2:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, October 12, 1974 by Pastor H. Strauss at the First Baptist Church in Medford. Providing the wedding music was Mrs. Ken Reckner, organist, and Mrs. H. Straus and Mrs. Wayne Krug, soloists.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Zimmerman, Rt. 1, Unity, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Arndt, Medford.

For her day the bride chose an ivory sata peau and Chantilly lace gown, which featured an all lace bodice styled with a high neckline and long full sleeves. The A-line skirt was trimmed with a wide lace border at the hemline. A matching headpiece held the lace veil in place

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Janice Zimmerman, Wausau. Bridesmaids were Miss Kris Arndt, Medford, sister of the groom and Mrs. Mark Arndt, Ashland, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Miss Shirley Degner, Colby, friend of the bride.

Flower girls were Miss Cara Reckner, Marshfield, and Miss Kimberly Mantik, Abbotsford.

They were attired in gold flowered sateen print effect gowns styled with empire waists and gold skirts. Each carried a bouquet of yellow daisies with red roses.

Best man was Mark Arndt, brother of the groom, and Brad Wildeburg, Medford, Dr. Bill Brown, Chicago, both friends of the bridegroom, and Dan Zimmerman, Unity, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.

A reception and supper in the church basement for 220 tuests followed the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Colby High School in 1969 and the UW-Eau Claire in 1973, and is an elementary education teacher. Her husband, an optometrist at Medford, graduated from Medford High School in 1960 and the Illinois College of Optometry at Chicago in 1973.
