Geiger, Cyril J. “Cy” (20 May 1943 – 10 September 2022)

Cyril “Cy” J. Geiger, age 79, of Dorchester, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center

Cyril was born on May 20, 1943, the son of Michael and Amelia (Lang) Geiger in Dorchester. He attended St. Louis Catholic School. Cyril lived at home for several years before going to work at Francis and Dolores Seubert Calf Ranch and also with their son, Terry and his wife, Sherry in Dorchester for over 55 years. He was proud of the home the Seubert family provided for him.
Cyril liked to ride his bicycle, collect aluminum cans. loved his sweets and all kinds of food and had a terrific memory. He especially enjoyed his morning ritual of feeding the wildlife, including rabbits, ducks, geese and other birds.

Cyril is survived by his four siblings: Therese Geiger of Dorchester, David (Carol) Geiger of Dorchester, Mark Geiger of Durand and Jane (Dick) Austin of Auburndale; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Geiger of Colby and Patricia Geiger of Princeton, IL; a brother-in-law, Donald Peissig of Dorchester; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Elizabeth “Betty”; three siblings: Norbert, Margaret and Paul and a sister-in-law, Lois Geiger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester on Friday, September 16, 2022. Father Timothy Oudenhoven will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
