Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kalepp, Route 2, Athens, announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Jean, to Daniel Geiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Geiger, Dorchester.

 

Miss Kalepp is a senior at Abbotsford High School.  Her fiancé attended Colby High School and is employed at Geiger Trucking in Dorchester.

 

                   A December 14, 1974 wedding is being planned.

Kalepp, Shelby Jean (14 Dec 1974)

St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester was the scene of the wedding of Shelby Jean Kalepp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kalepp, Athens, and Daniel J. Geiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Geiger, Dorchester, on Saturday, December 14, 1974.

The 1 p.m. ceremony was performed by Father Burggraf, with Miss Debbie Danen providing the organ music for vocalist Bonnie, Cindy and Clyde Schreiber.

The bride appeared wearing a crystalette and Chantilly lace gown with pearl trim. The scoop neckline was edged with a ruffle and the tapered lace sleeves had a ruffle at the wrist. The A-line gown featured a full skirt and chapel train edged with a flounce. Her petal lace and pearl headpiece secured the fingertip veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

The bride’s cousin, Cathy Bunkelman, Athens, was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Kate Geiger, Dorchester, sister of the bridegroom, Cindy Schultz, Wausau, a friend of the bride. Flower girl was Nicole Bunkelman, Athens, cousin of the bride.

The bridal attendants were attired in gowns which featured velvet bodices and chiffon skirts trimmed with dairy lace. Each dress was fashioned with a square neckline. Bishop sleeves with lace type lace at the waistline and sleeve. They carried bouquets of white and yellow carnations.

Attending the bridegroom was Tom Baker, Dorchester, friend of the groom, and groomsmen were Dennis Reynolds, Dorchester, a friend, and Larry Kalepp, Athens, brother of the bride. Ring bearers was Michael Geiger, Dorchester, nephew of the bridegroom.

Edward Kalepp Jr., Athens, and Kurt Geiger, Dorchester, brothers of the couple, ushered the guests to their seats.

A reception and dinner were held at the Trianon Ballroom in Athens following the ceremony.

The bride attended Abbotsford High School and the bridegroom Colby High School. He is presently employed at Geiger Trucking of Dorchester.
