St. Bernard’s Lady Foresters, Court 1041, sponsored a very successful family picnic, Sunday, at Cherokee Park. About 100 people were in attendance.

A potluck dinner was held at noon, after which cards and bingo were played. There were contests for the youngsters, supervised by the young ladies.

Winners at cards were: Henry Weix, Mrs. Ed Brill, Mrs. Reinhold Schaefer and Mrs. Morris Gierl.

Door prizes were awarded to Caroline Gierl, Elaine Rueden, Ed Brill, Frances Primeau, Ron Kiefer, Lester Miller, Ella Brill, Carol Reichersamer, Art Frane and Russell Miller.

Winners in the kid’s contesters were: Peanut hunt, Mark Kiefer, Kris Reichersamer, Brenda Rueden, Rosemary Rueden; three legged races: First – Tom and Mark Kiefer, second - Mark Rueden and Mike Brill; Wheel Barrow: First – Mark Rueden and Mike Brill, second – Tom and Mark Kiefer, third- Kris Reichersamer and Michelle Kiefer and Pat Kiefer and Kim Brill; football throw: First – Tom Reichersamer, second – Tom Kiefer, third – Mark Kiefer; treasure hunt: Sally Reichersamer and Kris Reichersamer.
