The promotion of John P. Stano to manager of Thorp Finance Corporation in
Frederic has been announced by Jean C. Broeren, Executive Vice President.
The U.S. Army veteran joined the firm in 1972 in the Tomahawk office as a field
representative. He continued in that capacity at Rhinelander until his promotion
to assistant manager at Merrill. Prior to his recent promotion, Stano served as
assistant manager at Fond du Lac. Stano attended Gogebic Community College,
Ironwood, Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
Stano is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stano, Ironwood. His wife, Carrol, is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blair, Abbotsford.
