The class of 1969 of Colby High School held it five year reunion on Saturday evening, August 17, 1974. The social hour began at 5:30 p.m. in the Colby City Hall, with dinner following at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church.

Gary Waldhart, senior class president, welcomed the class. James Vorland served as master of ceremonies.

Prizes were awarded to Nancy Goeltz Sterzinger for coming the greatest distance, 1300 miles; Married the longest, Mary Miller Diedrich; Newly married, Jerome Heindl (married same day as reunion); Most hair on face, Greg Gorke; First questionnaire returned, Beverly Weis Bohte; Most children, Pam Firnstahl Clark and Mary Miller Diedrich; Latest baby arrival, Fay Krueger Schraufnagel; Least hair on head, Richard Feldbruegge; Longest Hair, Greg Gorke.

Randy Kilty, Greg Gorke, Donna Lamont, Kathy Jacobson, Joe Kilty, Roger Reise, Sue Wieland Lindau, Randy Tesmer and James Vorland were in charge of arrangements.

Pictures were shown and letters read from classmates unable to attend. A letter was read from Jim Warren, former class advisor, who was also unable to attend.

A moment of silence was held in memory of Jerry Hodd, Richard Hraben, and Donald Meerstein.

Mrs. Joan Romens will be in charge of the next reunion to be held in five years.
