The 1974 Summer Commencement of the UW-Eau Claire will take place on Saturday, August 3, 1974 at 9:45 a.m. in the university arena, with Dr. John W. Morris, vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, presiding. Degree will be awarded to 242 persons; of these, Mater’s degrees will be awarded to 79 persons, including Bruno F. Pawlowicz, who is presently teaching science at the Abbotsford Junior High School.

Chancellor Leonard Haas will deliver the charge to the graduates. Prelude and recessional on the organ by Paul R. Kosower of the Department of Music, and singing of the national anthem and the university him will be led by Lawrence Bauer, Assistant Director of University Programs. The Reverend James Mason will deliver the invocation.

Presenting the candidates for degrees from the various schools will be the Deans: Dr. Frederick Haug, Arts and Sciences; Dr. James Wenner, Business; Dr. Rodney Johnson, Education; and Dr. R. Dale Dick, Graduate Studies; Dr. Wilmer Pautz, president of the Faculty Senate, will be Commencement Marshal, with William McDonnell, Assistant Professor of speech, reading the names of graduates.

Following the Commencement Ceremony, the Chancellor and th Faculty will host a reception for graduates and their families in the Southwood Room of the Davies University Center.
