Five Colby High School students were awarded membership into Ipissima Verba, a national honorary forensics organization. Two seniors, Peggy Gosse and Marilyn Bauer, and a junior, Mary Langhus, were awarded continuing membership. Two juniors, Tami Johnson and Gayle Hauser, were awarded first year membership.

The announcements were made at Awards Nigh, held at the school, Monday, May 20, 1974, when Bruce LaSota and Miss Sandra Kronka, forensics advisors, offered each student a certificate of membership.
