Bryan, Isaac Jay “Ike” (29 June 1999 – 10 July 2022)

Isaac “Ike” Jay Bryan, 23, of Neillsville, passed away tragically July 10, 2022, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Ike was born June 29, 1999, in Eau Claire, to Beth Bryan Powell and Eric Koster. He was baptized Lutheran at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. A 2017 graduate from Neillsville High School, he was a star athlete in basketball, track and field and football. He had recently started working at his family’s bar, The Deerview, in Hatfield - a job he genuinely enjoyed.

Isaac was passionate about many things, but basketball was his life. His senior year, Ike’s team won the Regional Championship Game. Later that year, Isaac set the boy’s indoor track and field record for high jump and made his way to the State Track and Field Tournament for long jump. Isaac also received Honorable Mention All-Conference receiver in football that same year. After high school, Isaac attended UW-Marshfield for a brief period of time where he was also on the basketball team. Off the court, Isaac loved to entertain and was known as “the life of the party.” He never failed to make everyone laugh. He had a love for Xbox, rap music, singing/dancing, watching the Chicago Bears and Bulls, and spending time with his family and friends. Isaac’s goofy sense of humor, infectious smile, and memorable laugh will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Isaac is survived by his parents Beth (Phil) Bryan Powell and Eric (Rochelle) Koster; his sisters Zamantha Funmaker, Bella Bryan and brother Dominic Koster; and step-sister Olivia Pyawasay. He also leaves behind his grandmother Edith Koster; Aunts Lisa Nickel, Lori (Chris) Bixby, Sara (Jason) Errthum, Joan (Jon) Latham, and Dawn Koster; Uncles Dean (Stephanie) Bryan, Rod (Jackie) Bixby and Herman (Wendy) Koster. Isaac is also survived by his best friend and cousin Andrew Bixby along with his other cousins: Adam, Zach (Fabi, Lucia) and Chelsea Tilson; Abby (Andy) Livingood; Arielle, Ashley (Liam), Alex, and Caleb Bixby; Meg Bryan; Sarah Lindsey; and Aric Koster. Isaac leaves behind many other family members and friends in Neillsville and Shawano. Isaac is preceded in death by his grandparents Dean and Gail Bryan and Jay Koster, along with his uncle Larry Nickel.
