Jewett, Amy E. (17 Oct 1900 – 13 May 1974)

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, May 16, 1974, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, for Amy E. Jewett, 73, who died May 13 at her home in Unity. The Rev. James Primely will officiate. Interment will be in the town of Brighton Cemetery. Lulloff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jewett, the former Amy Sheldon, was born October 17, 1900 at March Rapids in Marathon County. She received her education in Unity area schools. Her marriage to Wesley Jewett took place September 20, 1919, at Unity. The couple farmed in the Unity area and Mr. Jewett was also employed by the Soo Line railroad company.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity.

Survivors include a son, Ervin Jewett, Unity; three daughter, Mrs. Norma Leonhard, Abbotsford, Mrs. Robert (Merle) Steffes, Curtiss; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Ervin Sheldon, Cicero, Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Effie Hebert, Colby.

Mr. Jewett died in 1960 and she was also preceded in death by a sister and her parents, Edwin and Ruby Sheldon.
