Eiden, Cynthia Jean (Apr 1974)

Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiated at a 7 p.m. ceremony at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, uniting in marriage Cynthia Jean Eiden and Randolph H. Blair. Music during the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Orville Barkow, organist, with Clarence Barkow as soloist.

Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Eiden, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blair, Route 1, Abbotsford.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a gown of peau de soie and Chantilly lace, featuring bishop sleeves, high neckline, a slightly gather skirt flowing into an attached chapel train, imported floral profile with cathedral length veil. She carried a bouquet of carnations and daisies.

Attending the bride were Miss Lori Eiden, Abbotsford, sister of the bride, Mrs. John Stano, Fond du Lac, sister of the groom, Miss Mary Schelling, Abbotsford, Miss Julene Schmid, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, and junior bridesmaids were Miss Brenda Fust, Wausau, and Peggy Herrmann, Colby.

The attendants wore gowns featuring white bubble chiffon bodice, baby doll sleeves, high necklines, and A-line floral print skirts with flared flounce border in yellow, aqua, lilac and pink, the junior bridesmaids attired in apricot colored gowns. They carried bouquets of pom daisies tied with bows and loops of ribbon to match their dresses.

Randy and Rocky Eiden, brothers of the bride, John Stano, Fond du Lac, Rick Grube, Milwaukee, Jim Brodhagen, Abbotsford, and Ross Toivonen, Wausau, were the groom’s attendants.

A reception and dance were held at Memorial Hall, Dorchester, for the 300 guests attending the wedding.

The groom is employed at Galvin Truck and Equipment, Inc., Abbotsford, having graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1971. His bride is also an Abbotsford High School graduate, class of 1971, attended the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire two years and graduated from the School of Cosmetology at Wausau on April 26, 1974.

After a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination, the couple will make their first home at Abbotsford.

The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blair, hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at Mr. B’s Restaurant, Abbotsford.
