Vanderhoof, Deborah G. (4 September 1981)

Deborah G. Vanderhoof and Gerald A. Kleinschmidt were united in marriage on Friday evening, September 4, at the Chili United Methodist Church. The Rev. Frank Hinebaugh officiated.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Hansen, Rt. 1 Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Silas F. Kleinschmidt, Rt. 1 Chili.

Special music at the service, offered by Mark Lavey and Mike Bletsoe, included “The Wedding Song,” “You Make Me Feel Brand New” and a pre-service medley.

Melanie Chapman, a friend of the bride from Marshfield, was matron of honor. She was joined by Shawna Vanderhoof, the bride’s daughter as flower girl. On the groom’s side, James Kleinschmidt, a cousin of the groom from Spencer, was best man. Ushering were Randy Kleinschmidt, another cousin of the groom from Marshfield, and John Hansen, the bride’s brother of Spencer.

The bride chose an ivory gown adorned with rose-point lace of taffeta, done in a blouson style and in a floor length. She carried a spray of peach and cream mountain roses and blue forget-me-nots. She also wore a crown of peach-colored mountain roses and flue forget-me-nots. Her matron wore a spaghetti strapped gown in apricot tinesta with sheer, printed Dacron bolero jacket. She carried and wore flowers similar to the bride’s. The groom and his attendants wore brown suits.

Following the service, a buffet reception and dance was held at the Sportsmen’s Club in Granton. The couple then left on a Northern Wisconsin wedding trip.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Kleinschmidt will make their home in Chili. The bride is a 1976 graduate of Spencer High School. The groom is a 1976 graduate of Marshfield Senior High and is employed by the Chili Milk Pool.
