Peaslee, Julie Ellen (29 August - 1981)

The Rev. E. T. Keller officiated at the Saturday afternoon, August 29, nuptials for Julie Ellen Peaslee and Robert Allen Fluegel. The service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsville. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John S. Peaslee, 115 Knuth Rd., Pittsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Flugel, Hwy 73, Pittsville.

Music selections at the service, offered by Karen and Rod Friedrichsen of Neillsville, were “True Love Comes From God” and “It Seems I’ve Always Loved You.”

Kathy Woiak, a friend of the bride from Marshfield was maid of honor. Joining her Cathy Songer, a sister of the bride from Eau Claire; Betsy Peaslee, the bride’s sister from Rice Lake; Sandy Fluegel, the groom’s sister of Pittsville; and Nancy Kann, a sister of the bride from Rice Lake.

On the groom’s side, Jay Borek, a friend from Pittsville, was bestman. He was joined in the party by Dave Schmidt, a friend from Marshfield; Keith Haumschild, the groom’s brother-in-law of Pittsville; John Peaslee, the bride’s brother of Pittsville; and Wayne Fluegel, the Groom’s brother, also of Pittsville. Ushering were Dann Kann, the bride’s brother-in-law of Rice Lake, and Tom Gaber, the groom’s brother-in-law of Wisconsin Rapids.

Following the service, a dinner was served at Granton’s Zion Lutheran Church, which was followed by a reception and dance at the Granton Sportsmen’s Club. Prenuptial events included a rehearsal dinner at the groom’s parent’s home.

The couple will make their home at rural Granton. The new Mrs. Fluegel is a 1979 graduate of Pittsville High School. Her husband, a 1980 graduate of the same school, is employed by Lynn Proteins, Inc., rural Granton.
