Lindberg, Susan Elizabeth (29 Dec 1973)

St. Bernard's Catholic Church at Abbotsford was the setting for the December 29, 1973 exchange of vows, as Jeffrey Gene Viegut claimed Susan Elizabeth Lindberg as his bride. The Rev. Emil Hodnik officiated at the 3:30 p.m. wedding ceremony, at which Mrs. Betty Decker provided organ music and accompanied Mrs. Helen Schultz, vocalist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John D. Lindberg and Mrs. Florence Viegut, all of Abbotsford.

Attendants for the couple were Jennifer Lindberg, Cindy Viegut, sister of the groom, Randy Grambor, friend of the groom, and Kerry John Lindberg, brother of the bride, all of Abbotsford. Ushering duties were performed by Mark Viegut, brother of the groom, and Stan Lisiecki, foster brother of the bride.

The bride appeared in a Fabiani design gown, featuring a jewel neckline, high waist gathered skirt, flared back with slight train, and trimmed with lace and lavender pear beads. A Camelot headpiece held her fingertip illusion veil. She carried three long stemmed pink roses.

Her attendants wore empire style gowns of purple velour knit with ecru lace featured around the scoop necklines. Each carried one pink rose.

Dinner was served at 4:30 at the Coral Room at the Hotel Colby, and a wedding dance was held at the Abbotsford City Hall.

The couple planned a wedding trip while enroute to Bluffton, South Carolina, where they will make their home.

The new Mrs. Viegut graduated from the Abbotsford High School in 1973. Her husband is a 1972 graduate of Colby High School, and is employed as a carpenter at Bluffton.
