A Hand Crafted and hand turned display of the finest Genuine Black Walnut will be on hand April 28, 1978, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Withee Public Library.

Local Ara Wood Artist Roy Svenson has proven himself to be one of the state’s finest wood craftsmen. For the past three years he has been commissioned turn a mortar and pestle for the Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Convention, and has received other awards and commissioned work.

Some of Roy’s finest works are owned by private collectors in Asheville, N.C., Bloomington, Ind., and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has sold handmade gifts that have made their way to 32 states, including Hawaii, Alaska and Foreign countries of Norway, Sweden, Poland, Germany and Canada.

Roy has worked over 30 years with wood, and this once hobby has turned into an enjoyable and self-rewarding business, along with traveling to Art Shows, “Genuine Black Walnut by Sven” tells you that it was made with genuine TLC (Tender Loving Care).
