Lindner, Monica Marie (1 August - 1981)

Monica Marie Lindner and Michael Allen Ruzic were united in marriage in Saturday afternoon, August 1, ceremonies at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindner, Rt., 1 Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Ruzic II, Rt. 2 Greenwood.

Serving as matron of honor was Mary Kay Behnke, a sister of the bride from Loyal. She was joined by Ann Caliebe and Mrs. Nancy Ewoldt, both of Greenwood, Mrs. Sue Lindner of Loyal and Mrs. Christy Kurtz of Canton, Ohio.

Bestman was Matt Ruzic, the groom’s brother of Greenwood. He was joined by Ronald Volovsek of Willard, Gary Ewoldt and Terry Lindner, both of Greenwood, and Dick Haase of Loyal. Ushering were Dale Lindner, Ivan Ruzic III and Dennis and Charles Lindner.

Music at the wedding was provided by Rita Stewart and Susanne Johnson.

The bride chose a sleeveless poly-chiffon gown featuring a high neck, Alencon lace and ruffled train. She carried a bouquet of Sonja roses, white carnations, lily-of-the-valley and ivy. Her attendants were attired in gowns of rust print with blouson-style tops which featured scooped necklines and capped sleeves. They carried bouquets of peach carnations and yellow-tinted mums, all adorned with baby’s breath.

Following the nuptials, a reception was held at the Loyal American Legion Hall. The couple then left on a trip to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Ruzic will make their home at Rt. 2 Greenwood. She is a 1978 graduate of Greenwood High and in 1979 from District I Tech in Eau Claire and is employed by the Marshfield Veterinary Clinic. He is a 1973 graduate of Greenwood High and is a farmer.
