The Owen-Withee Junior High English class conducted their annual spelling
contest under the direction of Mrs. Zielinski. 49 students took part, and we
want to congratulate all of them for putting forth extra effort to study for the
contest and for taking part.
The ten top spellers in the group were: Chris Becker, Jimmy Potocnik, Nancy
Olson, Steve Levenhagen, Don Zukowski, Julie Gehrke, Brent Rineck, Linda
Amacher, Laura Schilz and Shari Borslien. From this group emerged the winner,
Brent Rineck, and the alternate, Linda Amacher. A special congratulation goes to
them. They will now spell against the Owen Elementary winners.
