Pannenbecker, John C. (26 November 1898 – 8 July 1981)

Graveside services were held on Saturday morning, July 11, at the Neillsville City Cemetery for John C. Pannenbecker. Mr. Pannenbecker, 82, passes away in Neillsville Memorial Home on the night of July 8. The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiated. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements.

The deceased was born on November 26, 1898, in Waukesha to Lewis and Hattie (Irving) Pannenbecker. As a young boy, he moved with his parents to the Town of Levis and received his education in the Riverside School. After his education, he worked on farms in the area and then left for ten years to work on merchant ships. Following that, he lived on the east coast for several years before returning to Clark County where he farmed with his brother, Harry, for several years.

Upon the death of his brother, the deceased became a resident of the Subke-Bryan Old Men’s Home in Neillsville and later at the Neillsville Memorial Home. Pannenbecker left no known survivors. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.

(Transcriber note, a relative, Hattie Winton is buried beside the two Pannenbecker brothers in the cemetery.)
