Zastrow, William (9 Dec 1888 – 02 Nov 1973)

William Zastrow, 85, of Riplinger, died Friday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Death was the result of complications of old age.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 6, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. The Rev. Francis Rushman officiated, and interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Zastrow was born in Germany on December 9, 1888, and received his education there. After coming to this country he owned and operated a blacksmith shop at Rozelville, moved to Riplinger and operated a blacksmith shop for 10 years, and then went to work for the Riplinger box factory, where he worked 21 years.
