Trachte, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Golden – 18 March 1981)

Walter and Lorraine Trachte of Neillsville were feted at a 50th wedding anniversary celebration held recently at the Town of Washburn Hall.

The couple, married on March 18, 1931, began the day with special services at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pittsville, officiated at by Rev. E. Keller. Later approximately 150 people attended an open house at the town hall, which was decorated with a wall hanging portraying the family tree. The tree was prepared by Arlene Abrahamson of Fairchild and other decorations were provided by Mr. and Mrs. Byron Trachte of Prattville, Alabama, who are the Trachte couple’s son and daughter-in-law. The couple sported red roses for the event.

St, John’s Church was the site of their 1931 wedding, which was conducted by the Rev. E. J. Schmidt.
