Schmid, Mr./Mrs. Anselm J. (Silver – 4 Sep 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Anselm J. Schmid of Dorchester celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on September 1, 1973.

Anselm J. Schmid and the former Rowena K. Feddick were married on September 4, 1948, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, with Father Seeboth officiating. Mrs. Beverly Genrich-Fenske, New London; Mrs. Lucille Schupp-Drost, Medford; Mrs. Jean Schupp-Surman, Dorchester, James Feddick, Barrington, Illinois; Richard Feddick, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and David Feddick, Abbotsford were among their eleven attendants present and honored with dinner and reception at the Dorchester Memorial Hall on the same day as the wedding of their daughter, Marilyn Sue, to Kirk Schjoneman.

All eight of their children, Kathleen M. Weber, Milwaukee; Patricia Ann and Marjean Lee Schmidt, Mount Prospect, Illinois; Donald Schmid, Waukegan, Illinois; Judene Kay Schmidt, Washington, D.C.; Marilyn Schmid-Schjoneman, and Jerold Schmid and Evonne Schmid were present and presented their parents with an engraved silver vase with twenty five red roses, after the anniversary march. Anniversary cake and lunch were served to approximately 600, who were present to celebrate the occasion.

The couple has spent their entire married life in Dorchester.
