Bittner, Mary (11 Jan 1891 – 17 Jul 1973)\

Miss Mary Bittner, 82, of Route 1, Dorchester, died Tuesday, July 17, 1973 at 5:30 a.m. at Medford Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester. Rev. Jacob Burggraf will officiate. Burial will be made in the Dorchester Memorial Hospital.

Visitation was held at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home Wednesday, where a Ladies Altar Society Rosary was said at 4 p.m. and a Parish Rosary at 8 p.m.

Miss Bittner was born January 11, 1891 in Ironwood, Michigan. She moved to the town of Holton with her parents and had resided there since then with the exception of 10 years, from 1915 to 1925, which she worked at Park Ridge, Illinois. She attended the Draper School and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, and the Ladies Altar Society. She never married.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Bertha Springer, Dorchester, and a brother, Edward Bittner, route 1, Dorchester.

A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
