Gliddon, Velma (1912-11 August 1983)

GREENWOOD -- Mrs. Edward (Velma) Gliddon, 71, of Humbird, died Thursday at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

Services will be Monday at Jensen Funeral Home, Hixton, with burial in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird. Visitations will be at the funeral home.

The former Velma Rachuy was born in Little Rock, Iowa, and she and Edward Gliddon were married June 11, 1937 in Sycamore, Illinois.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Patricia Gliddon, and a son, Thomas Gliddon, both of Humbird; two brothers, Earl Rachuy, Baraboo, and Jesse Rachuy, Shelby, Iowa; and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Peters of Humboldt, Iowa. Mrs. Julia Marrett, Woodland Hills, California and Mrs. June Brindel, Wilmette, Illinois.
