Rakovec, Judi Marie (4 April 1981)

Judi Marie Rakovec and Fred Donald Mohr were united in marriage in Calvary Lutheran Church ceremonies on Saturday afternoon, April 4. The Rev. Paul Forde officiated. Parents of the couple are Marge Rakovec, Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mohr, Rt. 3 Neillsville.

Sue Rakovec, a sister of the bride from Illinois, was maid of honor. Serving as bestman was Jim Mohr, a brother of the groom from Neillsville. Ushering were David Rakovec and Steven Mohr, Neillsville brothers of the honored couple.

“Follow Me” and “The Wedding Song” were the musical selections offered during the ceremonies, all performed by Kathy Forde and Chris Herbrand.

The bride chose a lace-trimmed gown of bridal satin and carried red roses adorned with baby’s breath. The maid of honor was attired in a blue print gown and carried blue and white daisies. The groom and his attendant chose to wear blue tuxedos.

Following the wedding, a reception was held in the church basement. The couple later greeted guests at the Hillbilly Hollow in Neillsville. The bride and groom announced that they would take a wedding trip at a later date. Prenuptial events included a bridal shower hosted by Marge and Darlene Rakovec and Sandy Mengel.
