Pohlmeyer, Kayrene (6 Jan 1973)

A candlelight ceremony on the evening of January 6, 1973 at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, Kinnear, Wyoming, provided the setting for the wedding of Kayrene Pohlmeyer, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Sackschewsky of Kinnear, Wyoming and Ronald Le Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Schultz of Colby.

The couple exchanged their vows in the presence of the Rev. Marvin L. Sackschewsky, father of the bride, who officiated at the double ring ceremony and communion service. Mrs. Pauline Stearns, organist, accompanied Master Paul J. Sackschewsky, brother of the bride, in a violin processional, “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”

The bride, escorted to the altar by her brother, Bradley Pohlmeyer, wore a white velvet gown with long, cuffed sleeves and an empire waist, decorated with seed pearls and crocheted lace trim on the bodice. Her veil was floor length, trimmed with matching lace and flowing from a velvet headpiece. She carried a cascade of purple and lavender asters and white roses.

Linda Schultz, sister of the groom, served as maid of honor. She wore a floor length lavender velvet dress with short sleeves, and an empire waist, and wore purple wristlet gloves and purple shoes. She carried a bouquet of purple asters with long, matching ribbon streamers.

Elizabeth Miller of Burris, Wyoming and Creta Oberheau of Riverton, Wyoming served as bridesmaids and wore floor length purple velvet dresses, white wristlet gloves and white shoe. Both carried bouquets of lavender asters with white streamers.

Randall Schultz served as best man, with his brother Bradley Schultz and Bradley Pohlmeyer as groomsmen. Donald Arquette of Albion, Michigan and Milton Miller of Burris, Wyoming were ushers, and Paul Sackschewsky served as candle lighter.

The mother of the bride wore a floor length rose color, polyester knit dress, trimmed on the bodice with pearls and rhinestone, and a pink cymbidium orchid corsage. The groom’s mother chose a floor length, two tone dress with light blue bodice and a blue brocade skirt with a lavender cymbidium orchid corsage.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church, with approximately 75 guests in attendance. Among those out of town guests were grandmother of the groom, Emma Schultz, Colby, Wisconsin, grandmother and grandfather of the bride, Aunt and Uncle of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Arquette, Albion, Michigan.

After a wedding trip through scenic Wind River Canyon in Wyoming, the couple will reside at 422 East Avenue C, Bismarck, N.D.

The bride is a 1970 graduate of Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The groom is attending Concordia Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. At the preent time, he is serving as Vicar at Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck.
