Garbisch, Zoe Ann (21 March 1981)

Zoe Ann Garbisch and Mark James Christianson were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon, March 21, at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. Horst Augustin officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Garbisch of Granton, and the groom is the son of Marge Christianson, Stevens Point.

Serving as maid of honor was Vida Garbisch of Neillsville. She was joined by Kathy Gibbons of Granton. Bestman was Todd Pitsch of Stevens Point, who was joined by Kirk Garbisch of Thorp. Ushering were Sam Kirk and George Kedrowicz.

The bride chose a traditional gown of organza-over-taffeta with a satin ribbon, v-neckline, fitted bodice, long bishop sleeves, full skirt and a deep flounce encircling the hem and chapel-length train. Her attendants wore three-quarter length dresses in burgundy-colored wool crepe.

Following the service, at which Mark Lavey and Mike Bletsoe offered special music, a reception and dance was held at the Southern Clark County Sportsmen’s Club in Granton. The couple announced that they would be taking a wedding trip in June.

The couple were to make their home in Madison. The new Mrs. Christianson will graduate in May from Madison Area Technical College in computer programing. Her husband attended UW-Stevens Point and currently is employed as a semi-driver for Hurlbut Plastic Pipe Corporation of Madison.
