Skalecki, Albert (5 September 1908-7 August 1983)

THORP -- Albert Skalecki, 74, of Thorp, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield were he was admitted earlier in the day.

Services will be Wednesday at St. Mary's National Church, Lublin. The Rev. Edward Brzostowski will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Thorp Funeral Home.

He was born September 5, 1908 in Brown County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Martha Skalecki. He and Catherine Koney were married in 1931 in Medford. She survives. They farmed in the Town of Taft, Taylor County, until 1973, when they retired and moved to Thorp.

Also surviving are three sons, Lee and Herman, both of Chippewa Falls, and Jerry of Fond du Lac; four brothers, Victor of Withee, Joseph of Downers Grove, Illinois, Tony of Des Plaines, Illinois, and Ray of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Clay (Lorraine) Ebben of Thorp; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
