Abramowicz, Judith A. (3 November 1958 – 5 March 2022)
Judith Ann Abramowicz, 63, Lublin, and retired certified nursing assistant died
peacefully with her family and friends by her side. Her hope and wish for a
peaceful death at home was realized.
She was born November 3, 1958, grew up in Lublin and lived her full life in
Lublin and Thorp. She was a proud member of the Lublin community and St.
Stanislaus Catholic Church where she generously donated her time and effort
especially to the bake sales, annual bazaar, and upkeep of the church cemetery.
Family knew her as Doodle Bug or Doodler an endearing nickname given to her by
her uncle that stayed with her throughout her lifetime. The name fit her
perfectly.
Judy’s compassion and love of people called her into service to mankind. She
received her certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant and began her lifelong
career of 35 years at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, until her
retirement in 2015. Through her dedicated service as a CNA, she brought comfort,
peace, and healing to others.
Judy is survived by her brothers: Paul (JoAnna), Wayne (Tammie), David (Karen),
Mark (Lori), John (Rachel), Keith (Jessica); and sisters: Linda, Debbie (Jeff),
Jane, Susie (Richard), Betty Jo (Bryan), Mary (Jay) and sister-in-law Barb (wife
of Edward) plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy was caring, kind, hard-working, giving, and most importantly fun and
faithful. She was filled with kindness and grace and had a joyous sense of
humor. She believed in doing the best of God’s work every day. She dedicated her
life to giving to others and expected nothing in return.
Judy cared deeply for family, friends and her extended family, most notable her
lifelong loyal friend and steadfast companion Todd Turenne. They shared a
special bond built on unconditional love and trust.
Her heart was larger than the universe. She saw goodness in everyone she met and
never judged anyone. Judy could see into the hearts of others, to empathize with
them and be called to action on their behalf.
She simply loved life! She woke up early each day and lived each day to its
fullest. She was not one to sit still. She was always eager to be out and about
exploring and doing things. Her favorite place was to be outdoors among nature.
She loved all flowers and all plants. She had a green thumb many of us would
envy and devoted her home to her plant kingdom. She loved digging in the dirt
and getting her hands dirty. Her garden was the envy of many.
She spent week-long vacations and extended weekends on a peaceful nature
preserve, which was her sanctuary. She also enjoyed camping, away from
technology and the bustle of life.
Family and her extended family were at her core from which she drew strength.
She enjoyed baking, shaking dice and spending her time scouting for antiques,
especially glass items.
Judy was a strong woman and classy in her unique way. She was an inspiring
individual and taught others to believe in their abilities and strengths. She
encouraged people to live their dreams, and that life is too short to wait. Her
dream was simply to live a long life in her small home, which was her pride and
joy.
Her parting words to all of us: I am who I am, so it is what it is. I did it my
way…to the end.
Judy will be dearly missed by family, friends, and extended family.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Rosemary Abramowicz,
brother Edward Abramowicz, brothers-in-law John Kulesa Jr. and John McIntire,
and niece Cassandra McIntire.
May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest In Peace.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at St.
Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, WI, with Father Vijay officiating the
mass. Rosary will begin at 8:00 a.m. and public visitation at 8:30 a.m. Burial
will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
