Heiting, Robert H. (6 November 1921-11 February 1983)

STANLEY- Robert H. Heiting, 61, a life-long resident of Stanley, died Friday morning at his home.

Services were today at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Stanley. The Rev. Jeremiah Cashman officiated. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion of Stanley.

He was born November 6, 1921, in Stanley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry (Katherine) Heiting. He graduated from Stanley High School in 1940 and served with the U.S. Army from 1941-45. He and Elizabeth Mellow were married August 31, 1946; she survives. He was a mail carrier in Stanley from 1949 until he retired on May 1, 1981.

Also surviving are a son, Gerald of Stanley; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Rose) Eckes of Marshfield; his parents of Stanley; one grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) Schmitz of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Sylvester (Margaret) Abramowicz of Stanley.

The Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, handled arrangements.
