Slipek, Chet (Banking Grad. - 1980)

Chet Slipek, an agricultural loan officer for the Neillsville Bank, has completed the second year of studies at the 14th session of the Midwest Banking Institute, held annually at the University of Minnesota-Moris. Slipek was among 184 bankers attending the school and 82 to receive graduation certificates.

The Institute is a two-year course sponsored by the state bankers associations of Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin and North and South Dakota, and is designed to assist bankers who are involved in financing farming and agricultural concerns.

This year students heard nationally prominent educators and bankers talk farm credit and farm enterprise analysis; financial counseling, including estate planning and farm business arrangements; financing community business; and issues of rural community.
