Boyer, Patricia Fae (19 July 1980)

Pamela Fae Boyer and Philip Anthony Schlagenhaft were united in marriage during Friday afternoon, July 19, ceremonies in Christ Lutheran Church, Chili. The Rev. Horst Augustin officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Boyer, Rt. 1 Chili, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schlagenhaft, Marshfield. The bride’s parents presented her to the altar.

Serving as matron of honor was Patti Witt of Marshfield. Joining her were Debbie Steltenpohl of Wautoma and Dawn Bluhm of Marshfield.

Bestman was Donald Schlagenhaft of Madison. He was joined by Fred Schlagenhaft of Rve Des Vignes, France, and Steve Schlagenhaft of Marshfield. Ushering were David Boyer of Neillsville and Gerald Schlagenhaft of Marshfield.

The bride’s gown was of blouson-style and in tinesalar knit, trimmed with Venician lace and seed pearls and featuring a high neckline, long sleeves and skirt sweeping to a chapel-length train. Her Venician lace edged veil was of walking length. She carried a cascading bouquet of carnations, rose buds and baby’s breath. The bridesmaids were attired in pink, blue and maize colored luster-glow jersey gowns in a halter-style bodice, full A-line skirts and short midriff jackets accented with a ruffled bodice collar. They also wore rosebuds in their hair.

The groom chose an ivory suit and white carnation. His attendants wore beige suits with shirts and carnations matching each of the bridesmaids gowns.

“The Wedding Song” and “Perfect Love” were the special musical selections offered at the service by Hilda Montag and Carol Mitchell.

Following the ceremonies, a reception and dinner was held at the Wildcat Inn and a dance followed at the Granton Sportsmen’s Club. The couple then left on a northern wedding trip.

The bride is a 1977 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and is a nursing assistant at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The groom is a 1976 graduate of Marshfield Columbus High School and is an apprentice mason with George Schlagenhaft Masonry of Marshfield. The couple will make their home in Marshfield.

Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by the later matron of Honor and another shower given by Gladys Thimmerch.
