Ratsch, Ronald W. “Ron” (10 July 1941 – 22 November 2021)

Ronald W. “Ron” Ratsch passed away at the Marshfield Medical Center on November 22, 2021. He was born in Granton, on July 10, 1941, to Harold and Irene (Sternitzky) Ratsch. He married Sharon A. Kopp on May 15, 1971. They were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

Ron worked at Rollohome Corporation, Graham Mfg. and retired from Wisconsin Homes, Inc.

In Ron's younger years, he enjoyed roller skating at different area roller rinks, Hatfield and Marshfield being his favorites. He was an excellent skater, skating as though he had springs under his skates. After marriage, he and Sharon attended many Polka Fests and old-time music dances with family and friends. They also looked forward to their annual Branson, MO, trip every fall.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Betty (Al) Coel; brothers, Emroy (Butch) Krause, and Marlon Ratsch; in-laws, Dale Riedel and Roger Lau. He was also predeceased by a nephew, Michael Krause.

Ron is survived by his brother, Gerald “Gary” and his wife, Adeline Ratsch of Granton; sisters, Beverly Lau of Mosinee; Gloria Riedel of Chili; sister-in-law, Alvina Krause of Davis, IL; and also nieces and nephews.

A combined funeral service for Ronald and Sharon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield with the Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating, with visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in Brooklawn Memory Gardens.
