Wrobel, Virginia (26 Oct 1974)

Miss Virginia Wrobel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Wrobel Sr., became the bride of Robert Zaidel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zaidel on Saturday, October 26, 1974, at St. Hedwig’s Chapel. Rev. John Puerner performed the 1:30 p.m. marriage ceremony.

The bride wore a nylon organza gown with Chantilly lace, with A-line skirt, bishop sleeves and detachable train. Her pill box headpiece was attached to a long veil with lace trim to match the dress, and she carried a nosegay bouquet of white carnations tinted light blue, white roses, baby’s breath and ivy.

Christine Konieczny was her sister’s matron of honor, and bridesmaid was Linda Abramowicz. They wore empire waist gowns with A-line skirt, bishop sleeves in navy velvet tops and powder blue skirts. Venice lace accented their veil headpieces with lace trim and satin ribbon. Each carried nosegay bouquets of white carnations tinted dark blue, baby’s breath with ribbon hanging down.

Attending the groom was the bride’s brother-in-law, Dave Konieczny, as best man, with Richard F. Wrobel Jr., U.S. Navy, as groomsman. Ushers were Bob Berberick and Paul Konieczny.

A dinner and dance were held at the Quonset Hall, Thorp.

After a wedding trip to Imperial Beach, California, Illinois, Arizona, Michigan, Washington, Chippewa Falls, Owen, Withee, Thorp and Lublin, the new couple will reside at Owen, where the groom is employed at Teledyne Post.
