Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zank and Mr. and Mrs. Urban Schmidt, all of Rt. 1 Neillsville. The parents of the bride presented her to the altar.

“The Wedding Song” and “The Rose” were special musical selections offered by Peggy Hagen and Coletta Short.

Colleen Knuth, a friend of the bride from Neillsville, was maid of honor. She was joined by Linda Embke, a Neillsville friend; Cindy Ure, a cousin of the groom from Marshfield; Sandy Oestreich, a friend from Rock Springs, Wyoming; and Tammy Mazourek, a friend from Marshfield.

Bestman was Dave Schoen, a friend from Denver, Colorado. He was joined by Ted Ure, a cousin of the groom from Rockford, Illinois. Also attending were Leon Kaczor, a friend, and Ned and Kim Schmidt, the groom’s brothers; all from Neillsville. Ushering were Dale and Ron Zank, brothers of the bride from Neillsville.

The bride chose a pleated, floor-length gown featuring a sweetheart neckline with lace trim. Fingertip veil with applique lace, chapel-length train, and sheer sleeves with applique lace. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and pink, flue, green and peach miniature roses, white miniature carnations and baby’s breath.

The bridesmaids wore pastel-colored gowns featuring pleated skirts, spaghetti straps and sheer capes. They carried bouquets of daisies, rose buds in pastel shades and baby’s breath.

The groom was attired in a silver tuxedo with satin trim and sporting a yellow rose bud. His attendants wore silver and black tuxedos, trimmed in satin.

Following the service, a dinner was held in the church basement and a reception and dance followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zank. The couple then left on a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, Elkhorn and Rockford, Illinois. Upon return, they will make their home in Denver, Colorado.
