Waggoner Reunion (Dairy Farm - 1980)
The Waggoner family reunion was hosted this year by the Don and Marjorie
Kirkconnell on their rural Greenwood farm over the Fourth of July holiday
weekend. Attending the event were family members not only from Wisconsin but
also from California, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois and from Indiana but also
from foreign lands, including Canada and England.
Highlights of the reunion included a tour of a dairy farm; group singing; the
playing of cards, horseshoe, badminton and volleyball; and swimming in Mead
Lake. The hosts also supplied horses for pleasure riding while others enjoyed
walks through the woods.
Housing the family was done by employing tents, campers, vans and the barn (the
youngsters slept in the mow).
