Pomietlo, Beth Ann (3 Aug 1974)

Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, was the scene for the marriage of Beth Ann Pomietlo and Louis Bielecki Jr. on Saturday, August 3, 1974. Father Leonard Kaiser performed the two p.m. double ring ceremony. Tim and Tom Pomietlo, brothers of the bride, brought up the offertory during the ceremony. Diane Mamayek was soloist, with Joe Possley as organist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Stanley F. Pomietlo of Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bielecki Sr. of Thorp.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full length gown of rayon acetate with an eyelet pattern throughout the bodice with long fitted sleeves and ruffled flounce. Delicate white daisies accented the U-shaped bib, neck, hemline and ruffled cuffs. The waistline was further enhanced by a white satin ribbon. Attached to the neck of her gown the bride wore a gold engraved pin which was a gift from her parents. She also wore Ivory earrings which were a gift from the groom. Her headpiece was a mock hat style fashioned with the same eyelet material as that of her gown. A full length chapel veil was attached to the headpiece by a white satin bow. She carried a colonial bouquet of blue and yellow daisies, white roses and baby’s breath. Entwined in her bouquet was the rosary her mother carried on her wedding day.

Debra Lou Anderson, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were: Peggy Nichols, friend, Donna Bielecki, sister of the groom, and Debra Pomietlo, sister of the bride. They wore full lenth gowns of polka dotted aqua voile accented with white braiding and daisies around the square neckline, cuffs of the long puffed sleeves and the waistline. A full ruffled flounce enhanced the hem of the gown. Their headpieces were white floppy brimmed hats accented with aqua satin ribbon. They each carried a white basket of pastel colored daisies and baby’s breath.

Wedny Castro, cousin of the bride, was miniature bridesmaid. She were a gown the same as the other attendants, except her gown was made by the bride’s mother.

Dennis Klick, friend of the groom, was best man, and the groomsmen were: Jim Brandt and Dennis Sackmann, both friends of the groom, and Henry Budzinski Jr., cousin of the groom. Ushers were: Gary Lund, cousin of the bride, and Roger Stroming, cousin of the groom.

A reception for 400 guests was held at the Quonset Hall, Thorp, where a dance was also held. Mrs. Armando Castro was in charge of the guest book. Host and hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. George Spaeth and Mrs. Frank Lesniewski, Mrs. Francis Koepl, and Mrs. Howard Rixford cut the cake.

After a wedding trip the state of Washington they will make their home at 605 N. Clark Street, Apt. 8, Thorp.
