Greenwood H.S. – 1955 Class (25th - 1980)
It was reunion time in Greenwood recently when two classes, 1955 and 1960,
rejoined to “remember the good old days.” One meeting in Greenwood and one in
Loyal, on July 5.
The Class of 1955
The class of 1955 for Greenwood High School held their 25th year reunion on
Saturday evening, July 5, at the Loyal American Legion Hall. Twenty-three
classmates and their spouses attended.
Those present included Joann (Bergemann) Anderson, Brookfield; Kay (Christie)
Halverson, McHenry, Ill.; Raymond Jordon, Libertyville, Ill.; James Snedic and
Marganne (Kolbo) Lammar, of West Allis; Adeline (Lesar) Krembs, Birmingham, NY;
Barbara (Reinke) Altman, Marshfield; Robert Schneider, Stoughton; Orville
Schwarze, Spencer; Thomas Steele, Wausau; Robert Timmler, Milwaukee; Cora Mae
(Turnquist) Sohlberg, Elk Mound; Gloria (Updyke) Hoffman, Colby; and Allen Wire,
Argyle.
Attending from the Greenwood area were Romaine Denk, William Ehlers, Jacky
(Irvine) Rogstad, Josephine (Langreck) Lindner, Roger Liebzeit, Myrna
(Meinholdt) Richmond, Gwendolyn (Urbana) Landini and Jerry Anderson.
Three of the class, Herbert Fabian, Carol Stout and Angeline Pekol, are
deceased.
Red Carnations were presented to Adeline Krembs, who came the farthest; William
Ehlers, the thirteenth reply; Gloria, first grandmother; and Allen Wire, wearing
the class ring.
The committee on arrangements were Josephine Lindner and Gwendolyn Landini.
