Berdal, Julia (27 May 1892 – 4 Jul 1974)

Julia Berdal, 82, died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

Mrs. Berdal was born May 27, 1892 in Austria and came to the United States when she was 10 and lived in Chicago. In 1909 she was married to Andrew Berdal in Stanley. They lived in Chicago for a time and then moved back to the Stanley area, where they farmed for many years.

Survivors include five sons, Walter, Atlanta, Georgia, Albin, Montello, Lawrence, Stanley, Edward, Thorp, and Raymond, Madison; four daughters, Mrs. Don Jerrell, Shelbina, Missouri, Mrs. Ed Slowiak, Mesa, Arizona, Mrs. Alex E. Slowiak, Stanley, and Mrs. Gordon Sproed, Lelso, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley, Berwyn, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Mikula, LaPorte, Indiana.

Funeral service were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leonard Kaiser officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
