The bride is the daughter of Kendall and elaine Smith, and the groom is the son of Everett and Susie Skroch, all of Neillsville. The bather of the b ride presented her to the altar.

Serving as maid of honor was Jan Tesmer, a friend of the bride from Eau Claire. She was joined in the bride’s attendants by Kathy Lezotte, a friend from Eau Claire, and Mary Jane Schultz, a sister of the groom from Winneconne. Serving as flower girl was Leah Jean Nevils, a cousin of the bride from Elk River, Mn.

Curt Cattanach, a friend of the groom from Eau Claire, served as best man. He was joined in the party by Bob Skroch, the groom’s brother from Neillsville, and Tony Schultz, a brother-in-law of the groom from Winneconne. Ushering were Jeff Smith, the brother of the bride, and Rick Lavene, a friend, both of Neillsville.

Music at the candlelight service was offered by Karen Forde, Neillsville, and Gerald Orsoni, Eau Claire, with selections including “Ruth’s Song,” The Lord’s Prayer” and “Follow Me.”

The bride chose a floor-length, satin, edged in lace and pearls gown with trailing veil, the same dress worn by her grandmother at her wedding. She carried a cascading bouquet of white and yellow roses, bay’s breath and ferns. The bridesmaids were attired in light mint green gowns featuring floor-length and slit backs and which were made by the bride. They carried light green carnations, daisies and ferns. The groom was dressed in an ivory tuxedo while his attendants wore light, mint green tuxedos.

Prenuptial events included a shower given by Mary Jane Schultz and Jan Tesmer. Following the ceremonies, the couple was honored at a Neillsville Country Club reception. The new Mr. and Mrs. Skroch then took an east coast wedding trip.

The bride is a 1979 graduate of Neillsville High School and is a secretary. The groom is a 1976 graduate of the same school and from District I Technical Institute in Eau Claire in 1977. He is presently employed by B&W Developers of Granton. The couple will make their home on Rt. 1 Granton.
